Terms of Service

Last updated: October 25, 2026

This is a standard plain-language template written for a small, invite-only app. It is not legal advice. Questions? Email [email protected].

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Igneo.ca about your use of Dayhook. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using Dayhook, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Dayhook.

2. Who runs Dayhook

Dayhook is operated by Igneo.ca, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Contact: [email protected].

3. Accounts and eligibility

  • Dayhook is invite-only. You need an invitation to create an account.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use Dayhook.
  • One account per person. Use your own email address and keep access to it secure, because anyone who can read your email can sign in to your account.
  • You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has accessed it.

4. Acceptable use

Dayhook works best when everyone is kind and respectful. You agree not to:

  • harass, threaten, bully or abuse anyone, including through Nudges, notes or challenge names;
  • post content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's rights;
  • send spam or invite people who have not agreed to be invited;
  • impersonate someone else or share another person's private information without permission;
  • try to access accounts or data that are not yours, test or break Dayhook's security, or overload, scrape or disrupt the service;
  • use Dayhook for any unlawful purpose.

5. Your content

You own the content you add to Dayhook, such as challenges, check-ins and notes. You give Igneo.ca a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy and display that content only as needed to run Dayhook, for example to show it to the members of the challenges you share. This licence ends when your content or account is deleted, except for copies that remain in backups or logs for a short time. You are responsible for what you post and confirm you have the right to share it.

Members of a shared challenge can edit it; only the person who created a challenge can delete it.

6. Friendly stakes

Dayhook lets groups write down friendly stakes. Dayhook does not handle money, collect payments or enforce stakes. Any stakes are arrangements between members, and Igneo.ca is not responsible for them.

7. Not professional advice

Dayhook is a goal and habit tool. It does not provide medical, health, fitness, financial, legal or other professional advice. Talk to a qualified professional before making decisions about your health or finances, and stop any activity that feels unsafe.

8. Disclaimers

Dayhook is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, including that Dayhook will be uninterrupted, error-free or that data will never be lost. We may change, pause or stop all or part of Dayhook at any time, and we will try to give reasonable notice of major changes.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Igneo.ca will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, goodwill or profits, arising from your use of Dayhook. Because Dayhook is free, our total liability for any claim relating to Dayhook is limited to CAD $50. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Ending your use

  • You can stop using Dayhook at any time. You can ask us to delete your account at [email protected] or, where available, from your Profile.
  • We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these Terms, puts others at risk, or is required to be removed by law. Where reasonable, we will tell you why.
  • Sections that by their nature should continue (such as Disclaimers, Limitation of liability and Governing law) continue after your account ends.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be handled by the courts located in Vancouver, British Columbia, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for important changes, let members know in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using Dayhook after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
